SEE Telecom provided the radio coverage for the Mont-Sion tunnel in France, a two-tubes road tunnel with a total length of 3,100 m.
Through its local partner KOARIO, SEE Telecom delivered a complete system of radio retransmission in the 2-tubes tunnel to ensure the continuity of radio communications of some services, such as:
- TETRA network for the operating services of the A41 motorway
- RUBIS network - the nationwide network for the French Gendarmerie
- INPT - French national public security network
- Retransmission of 8 FM channels with the possibility to broadcast emergency messages.
The Mont-Sion tunnel is a road tunnel in the northern part of the A41 motorway in France operated by Eiffage Autoroutes Rhône-Alpes (AREA). The tunnel allows the crossing of the mountain of Sion at the level of the Mont-Sion pass located at an altitude of 785 meters.
